Marc Levy

I was a medic with Delta 1/7 First Cavalry in Vietnam and Cambodia, ’69-’70. My decorations include the Combat Medic Badge, Silver Star, two Bronze Stars with V, Air Medal, Arcom.

My writing has appeared in New Millennium Writings, Cutthroat, War, Literature and the Arts, Chiron Review, Mudfish, New Madrid, KGB Bar Lit Mag, Gargoyle, Pangyrus, The Ragaire Literary Magazine, Queens Quarterly, Solstice Literary Magazine and elsewhere.

My essay The Quiet Time won the 2016 Syracuse University Institute for Veterans and Military Families Writing Prize, judged by Brian Turner and published in Stone Canoe. Two of my war photos appeared in the Netflix series The Umbrella Academy.

My books include How Stevie Nearly Lost the War and Other Postwar Stories, The Best of Medic in the Green Time, Dreams, Vietnam and Other Dreams. I’ve been twice nominated for a Pushcart Prize.
