War Poet Dave Connolly Tells It Like It Is

Twice wounded 11th Armored Cav vet and Boston Southie poet Dave Connolly was recently interviewed by Jim Di Filippi on his podcast Blue Smoke and Black Ink. Dave reads a poem or two. Tells of his grandmother saving his life in Vietnam with a prophesy she made when he was fifteen. He describes the protesters who greeted him at the airport on a return trip, telling them, “I’m just bringing a dead buddy home. I have to go back.”
