For the website, and a possible anthology, Medic is seeking responses from all vets to the phrase “Thank you for your service.” How does it make you feel? What are your thoughts when it’s said to you? What do you want to say? What do you say? 3-5 pages. Include name, branch of service, unit, tour/year, photo.

Medic is seeking recollections about smoking weed in Vietnam.  Grunts, remfs, pilots, whatever. Where and when did you smoke? How often? How did it affect you? Tell a few stories. Or did you drink? Officer and NCOs, what was your policy on pot? On alcohol? Include name, branch of service, unit, tour/year, photo.  1-3 pages.

Medic is seeking your best war jokes. Not the cute one’s told to adorable nieces and nephews; not the feel good smiley gags spun at family gatherings. No sir! Medic wants obscene lawless jokes whose wit and irony strip combat of its mythic bones, stare death in the face, and  roar unholy laughter. Guidelines: 1-2 pages. Include name, branch of service, tour/year, photo.
